Disaster Risk Reduction in Education: Good practices
This report gathers information on good practices of disaster risk reduction (DRR) in education of UNICEF from the CEE/CIS, specifically from the sub-regions of Central Asia, South Caucasus and Europe regions. This report provides descriptions on certain aspects of countries DRR programming to highlight good practices and innovations. The examples provided here offer a variety of methods and ways to advance DRR activities that may be useful for other countries.
The countries included in this report all have unique challenges, but in each case, opportunities have also emerged that have facilitated the inclusion and integration of DRR activities in some form. No matter how complex the political and social contexts, there are many approaches to navigate through these to implement programming that is essential and necessary.
